The photograph above shows the school theatre arts stage where, for example, the annual pantomime is staged. Mrs. Corner has produced this very popular event for a number of years now.
The photographs on this page below illustrate one of the dance workshops (Indian Dance in this case) which are held at various times during the year in the purpose built drama studio.

Music is largely a practical course which aims to develop appreciation and enjoyment of the subject through involvement in the three musical activities of listening, performing and composing.
The Listening part of the subject covers music from the year 1400 to the present day and may include such diverse musical styles as classical and Rave. All pupils are taught to play keyboards and have the chance to learn guitars, drums etc. All pupils learn to compose their own music and experience a wide variety of musical styles including traditional composition, electronic, rock and computer music.
The EXPRESSIVE ARTS course has been designed to suit all pupils. Pupils do not have to be accomplished musicians, fine actors/actresses, or able dancers. It is the combination of these art forms that counts, combined with personal enthusiasm for self-expression. If, however, pupils are specialists in any of these areas, then there is an opportunity to branch out and combine them with a new art form.
This course aims to develop skills in all the combined art forms. Pupils will receive ample chance to perform within music, drama and dance in a course that can culminate in an NEAB Expressive Arts GCSE qualification. This would be a good stepping stone towards being accepted into further education establishments to study courses such as the A level equivalent BTEC qualification in Theatre Arts.
The Expressive Arts course also offers the opportunity to develop a high level of technical skill in the areas of music technology, lighting, video camera operation and tape editing. The opportunities provided by these subjects are limitless and extremely exciting, but success can only be achieved through hard work and commitment.
