The school library has a warm and inviting atmosphere and is a well-used resource within the school.Miss. K. Taylor is the School Librarian.

After School - 2.55pm onwards, when we run our
increasingly popular After School Club
It is a well equiped centre for homework, research and reading, but also provides many activities that pupils will enjoy, including crafts, competitions and quizzes.
Computer CornerThe Library has 5 computers available for the pupils to use for homework, research and the Internet. Each computer also has a program called Searchstar, that interacts with the main library system to allow pupils to search the Library Catalogue, create book review and renew their own books.
The Meeting RoomOur meeting room also contains 10 Internet PC's, TV and Video facilities and an electronic whiteboard.
Various meetings are held in this room.
The Eclipse Library SystemEclipse is an efficient and effective Library Management Program, which we have recently installed in the Library. The computerised system isused for all aspects of the Librarian's work including the issuing and returning of books, reservtions and overdue letters.
To greater the interest of pupils, we also use the identikit facility, which uses a pupil's fingerprint instead of a library card to issue and renew books.
The Library contains approximately 8,000 fiction and non-fiction books, which pupils are allowed to take out for up to 2 weeks.We are constantly buying new resources so we always have the newest editions and the popular authors to keep pupils interested in reading and learning.
