With the UK's growing involvement in Europe and with business and the internet encouraging a view of the global workplace, language study will increase any young person's potential for employment. Particularly in Yorkshire there is a proven need for German speakers, since as a region there is much commerce with Germany via the Humber ports.
Recruitment within the growing areas of tourism, IT and the media often requires knowledge of a second language and sometimes the ability to expand one's knowledge of languages. Linguists are seen as adaptable, as having good memories, and as being able to organise their work; they have been given the chance to be articulate, and this is an invaluable skill in the modern world of communication.
There are opportunities available at Willowgarth not only to learn a language but also to spend time in the country concerned.
Grasp the initiative now and look to the future!
