Summary:
The pupils achieve a vocational qualification (nationally recognised) with key skills evidence, transferable into further education (F.E.). The modules of challenges are diverse, interesting and stimulate personal and social competence skills at KS4.
Willowgarth introduced this scheme two years ago. This framework of flexible learning integrates well to meet the National Curriculum and encourages our pupils to take responsibility for their own learning.
  The Youth Award Scheme:
Develops personal competencies
Meets Individual Learning Needs
* Enhances students achievements
* Challenges pupils to improve their learning
* Rewards all pupils with Nationally Recognised qualifications at Bronze/Silver levels.
This style of learning prepares students for what has become increasingly expected in further/higher education and in employment.
