Learning Mentors

Mentoring Programme
Learning Mentors give you support, advice, understanding and encouragement around issues that are important to you and are affecting your schoolwork. A Mentor is a positive role model and is very good at listening and will not judge you.

We can help with
Personal problems/issues outside school
Trouble with attendance/truancy
Help with organising schoolwork/homework
Dealing with anger/behaviour problems
School problems
Not reaching full potential

How will we help you?

We will use methods like

One to one work
Group work
Talking to other people on your behalf

How do I get a Mentor?

You can only be given a Mentor if your Head of Year refers you to the Mentoring Programme

What if you do not like your Mentor, say something!

Don't worry! Nobody gets on with everyone they meet. Tell your Mentor, Head of Year or Tutor Group Teacher, you may be able to have a different Mentor instead.
