The Maths department is a strong and successful department within the school. There are five teachers of Mathematics and the head is Mr. Parkinson (above). Pupils are placed in ability sets for Maths, independent of other subjects. The department is well-equipped and there is a textbook for each student. All pupils have the opportunity to sit NEAB Modular Maths GCSE. The Ofsted report for the department was pleasing and H.o.D. is confident that standards will continue to rise.
