7 May 2004 - Willowgarth win the regional Creative spaces competition!

Under the Inequality Challenge In South Yorkshire Schools, (see the ICSYS link, left) a team of three girls entered a competition called Creative Spaces. Their brief was to redesign two areas in school. The girls have won the Yorkshire and Humberside regional finals and £3000 will be awarded to the school to spend in the Design Technology area.

The national finals will be held on Thursday the 27th May at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), where the girls will be competing against 9 other schools from the UK. The winner of the national finals will be awarded £50,000 to build the design.

The ICSYS co-ordinator for Willowgarth (Mr. Rooke) will keep you posted as to the progress of this project.
