General Statement
Sex Education
All pupils will follow a programme of sex education aimed at consolidating work undertaken by feeder schools and paving the way for subsequent work in personal and social education. The emphasis of the later years' personal and social education work in this area will be to understand and encourage stable, caring relationships and the importance of the family to all its members. The Governors consider that the risk of pregnancy and the threat posed by AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases is sufficient to warrant a full and explicit programme for pupils.
Parents have the right to withdraw their children from sex education. If you wish to exercise that right, please inform the headteacher in writing. Back to top
