Implementation
1. The assessment, recording and reporting of pupils' attainment involves all teachers (including ITT students and supply teachers) and all pupils.2. National Curriculum, GCSE and vocational assessment and recording is integrated within a wider assessment and recording strategy which recognises and celebrates a broad range of achievements, (academic, personal achievement and vocational achievement).
3. Assessment is a continuous process, integral both to teaching and learning, and also to curriculum and organisational development.
4. Assessment strategies inform pupil, teacher and parent about progress made and enable further learning targets to be set.
5. Assessment is as objective as possible, based on explicit criteria, free from stereotyping, generalisation and bias.
6. Pupils are provided with opportunities and encouragement to reflect on their work and to review their own learning.
7. There is a clear connection between the assessment and recording process, and the summary reporting of individual achievement and progress to parents. Back to top
